What is InterVarsity?
Life brings a lot of challenges and we all need friends who will face them with us. We believe that you're ready for life when your heart looks like Gods--when you love the things God loves. InterVarsity is a community of friends pursuing life-readiness together.
What is our purpose?
The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world. In other words, we're helping you...transform your life, renew the campus, and change the world.
And if you were wondering...
...we are not a church. InterVarsity is an inter-denominational group (in other words, we aren't tied into a specific church), and we don't try to do all the things a local church does. We do offer times of worship, Bible studies, and fellowship (but not as a replacement for church) with our main purpose being to reach the campus with the message of Jesus. We strongly encourage everyone to attend and be actively involved in one of the many Bible believing churches in the community.
